Aviation art ~ Mig 29 and CF18 Hornet
Soviet MiG 29 UB and Canadian F-18 22x16 (inches) Private Collection
In 1988 the (former) Soviet Union sent three MiG 29s to Canada on a goodwill mission (the first time that the Soviets were permitted to fly over continental America). The three aircraft went on to fly in that years airshow circuit thus forging new friendships and hope for a better world! This privately commissioned piece shows one of the aircraft (a two seat MiG29 UB) with it's Canadian F-18 escort as they first entered the country.
